A syndicate of 52 local racing enthusiasts have done it again and have drawn a slot in the $2 million KOSCIUSZKO race to be run at Randwick on the 19th of October.
The TATTS Hotel syndicate is one of 14 whose number was drawn out by Racing NSW this morning and now have a horse represent to them in the race for country-trained horses
Scott Williams from Tatts Hotel says they bought 1046 tickets but admitted the likelihood of gaining a slot again was pretty slim.
Mr Williams says he can’t believe they’ve drawn a slot for this year’s race and has been busy negotiating with trainers and have settled with second favourite for this year’s race Far Too Easy from the David McColm stable at Murwillimbah.
He says the horse is hitting its straps after almost dying earlier in the year.
Under the conditions of the race slot holders negotiate with the owners of the horse chosen on the distribution of prizemoney.
