Parts of Inverell were without power on Friday afternoon following a power outage.
Essential Energy stated just over 1600 customers were affected around 12:45 pm following a tarp contacting the powerlines in Taylor Avenue.
Crews responded immediately removing the tarp and restoring power to all affected customers within 30 minutes.
The public is reminded to stay at least 8 m away from damaged electricity infrastructure and report to Essential Energy immediately on 13 2080
