A man has been arrested after an incident at Stanborough on Friday afternoon.
At around 5pm, a male warrant offender was identified as a passenger of a vehicle travelling along Thunderbolts Way, driven by the accused partner.
After stopping the vehicle, both parties locked themselves in the vehicle and following a period of negotiations, the accused’s partner exited the vehicle.
Police say the accused exited via the driver’s window before decamping on foot but was apprehended a short distance away with two police officers sustaining minor cuts and lacerations during the arrest.
The man was charged with Hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty and the warrant as well as addition charges including use offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention and intimidate police officer
The accused was refused bail by Police and by Parramatta Local Court on Saturday and will reappear in court next month.
