The Inverell Sports Council will meet this evening at the Inverell RSM Club Boardroom from 7:30pm.
Sporting groups and organisations are encouraged to go along and support the Sports Council to deliver quality sporting infrastructure for the benefit of the whole community.
Discussion tonight will be centred on the Sports Council’s annual Golf Day that will be held on Sunday 20th of October with entries open until the 16th of October as well as discuss the needs of any summer sports.
Council President Simon Smith says the body acts as advisory committee to Inverell Shire Council to gauge what facilities are required by the Sporting groups in the town.
Mr Smith says the Sports council meet several times a year and gives sporting bodies an opportunity to have their say on what’s required.
