The annual general meeting of Inverell Sports Council will be held tomorrow evening in the Inverell Shire Council Chambers from 7pm.

Sporting groups and organisations are encouraged to go along and support the Sports Council to deliver quality sporting infrastructure for the benefit of the whole community.

Council President Simon Smith says the body acts as advisory committee to Inverell Shire Council to gauge what facilities are required by the Sporting groups in the town.

Mr Smith says the Sports council meet four or five times a year and gives sporting bodies an opportunity to have their say on what’s required.
