The highly anticipated Sapphire Speed Sheer scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed to later in the month.
In a social media post, Sapphire Speed Shear Vice President Ty Glendinning stated due to the weather conditions and safety of the livestock, they’re unfortunately made the decision to postpone the event to ensure the best day possible can be had by all.
The aim of the day is to raise money for Centacare New England Northwest, who are committed to exploring opportunities that enhance the stability, wellbeing and connectedness of our local communities, by staging the Speed Shear as well as a charity auction and Calcutta.
The Speed Sheer will now be held at the Royal Hotel Motel in Inverell on Saturday August 23rd starting at 11am.
