Six-Month Progress Update on Inverell Shire Council’s 2025-2029 Delivery Program

by | Mar 4, 2026 | Local Government, Media Release

Inverell Shire Council considered its six-month progress report on the 2025–29 Delivery Program at its Ordinary Meeting on 25 February 2026.

The report provided an update on the implementation of the 2025–26 Operational Plan for the period 1 July to 31 December 2025 and outlines progress on actions supporting the 2025–2029 Delivery Program.

Council’s reporting obligations are established under Section 406 of the NSW Local Government Act 1993 and the associated Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) Guidelines issued by the NSW Office of Local Government.

To meet these requirements, Council prepares biannual progress reports on the Operational Plan.

These reports enable ongoing monitoring of how annual actions advance the Delivery Program and contribute to the community’s long-term vision.

The Delivery Program outlines Council’s commitments for its term of office and the key initiatives supporting the Community Strategic Plan’s goals and strategic directions, while the Operational Plan details the specific services, projects and activities to be delivered each financial year.

Council is progressing well with each action set out in the Delivery Program.

The six‑monthly progress report highlights this positive trajectory, offering a clear view of achievements to date while also helping to pinpoint any areas that may benefit from additional focus to keep delivery on track.

Mayor Kate Dight says, “Council is committed to delivering results for our community. This progress report demonstrates that we are well on the way to achieving every commitment we’ve set out in the Delivery Program and I am proud of the progress we’re making together”.

The progress report has been uploaded to the Integrated Planning and Reporting page on Council’s website and community members are encouraged to view it.
