A brother and sister aged 13 and 12 have been charged following the theft of a motor vehicle from a dealership in Vivian Street, a police pursuit and an accident in Inverell last Thursday
Inverell Police responded and located the stolen vehicle on Byron Lane and initiated a police pursuit after the stolen car failed to stop
The stolen vehicle was involved in a collision with another vehicle at the intersection of Laurence and Henderson Streets.
A 13-year-old male was charged with take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, negligent driving and use offensive weapon to prevent apprehension with bail being refused by police to appear at Parramatta Children’s Court on Friday
12-year-old female was charged with being carried in conveyance without consent of owner and was conditionally bailed to appear on 7th of August at Inverell Children’s Court.
The stolen/recovered vehicle is a write off because of the incident, with an estimated damage value of $20,000.
