Inverell trained SHAMEDY has scored the easiest of wins in this year’s Deepwater Cup, romping home by 7 lengths.

The $1.80 favourite, trained by Todd Payne, is co-owned by a number of people throughout north and gave several Deepwater Jockey Club committee people their first win in their home Cup after decades of trying.

Earlier another local trainer Danni Schreck scored just her 4th winner when TAKE THE BRIBE led all the way in the Maiden, while Cobi Vitler rode three of the seven winners.
