Police are appealing for assistance to locate a teenage girl last seen in the Lismore area.
Jalarna Buchanan, aged 16, was last seen at a shopping centre on Diadem Street, Lismore, about 11am last Wednesday (16 July 2025).
When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Tweed/Byron Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.
Police hold concerns for Jalarna’s’s welfare due to her age.
Jalarna is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, 160cm to 170cm tall, medium build with dyed red shoulder length hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing black track pants and black hoodie with hood on covering her head.
She is known to frequent the Kingscliff, Coraki, Coffs Harbour, Kempsey, Inverell, Gosford, and Sydney CBD area.
Anyone with information into her whereabouts is urged to contact Lismore Police, Tweed/Byron Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
