Ross Hill Public school is encouraging parents and carers of students to use the Brown Street Drop Off and Pick-Up entrance instead of the Bannockburn Rd entry.
School Principal Shane Fletcher says an issue in traffic flow and congestion has arisen along Bannockburn Rd during morning drop-offs and afternoon pick-ups and are trying to get students to get dropped off and picked-up on Brown Street in a bid to keep students safe.
The school is currently working with the Inverell Traffic Forum Committee and exploring a Kiss and Ride Zone on Brown St, similar to that used at Holy trinity school, as well as moving the pedestrian crossing on Bannockburn Rd.
