A new social committee has been formed to encourage young health professionals to stay in Inverell and make the town their new home.
Sapphire Social Committee president Claudia Hadenfeldt says their mission is to empower and connect young people working in Inverell and surrounding areas by fostering community engagement and networking through social events.
Ms Hadenfeldt says the concept of the social committee came about from professional development and networking opportunities which discussed ideas about how young health professional can be retained in the town.
She says they’ll be planning various events through the year to engage with young people, including a Ball later in the year, but is excited with about their first event tomorrow evening – a game of barefoot bowls at Inverell Sporties starting at 6pm.
