The 2024 Inverell Salvation Army Toy Run was held on Saturday 14 December 2024.
The Annual Toy Run, run by a collaboration between the Odin Warriors MC, the Viking Breed SMC and the Inverell Motorcycle Restorers Club, saw some 65 motorbikes ridden through town to deliver a van load of toys and gifts to Major Wendy-Sue Swann, head of the Inverell Salvation Army.
Of the 65 riders, 56 riders continued on with the Poker Run to Bingara, Warialda and Delungra prior to finishing up back at Inverell where Michael Ioannidis was announced the winner with the best poker hand.
A further car load of toys was collected during the Poker run thanks to the Commercial Hotel in Warialda.
A total of $2645.75 was raised consisting of cheques, cash and gift cards to go with the mountain of toys and gifts.
The organisers wish to thank the Sponsors and Supporters, and all those who braved the hot weather to participate.
Special mention must go to Rodney McGrath of Delungra who donated 36 Care Flight Bears, and of course, not forgetting Santa Clause, who was ably assisted by Olga George.
