The finals series begins in the AFL Northwest competition with the Inverell Saints Women striving to make it to a third successive grand final.

The Saints will come up against the Tamworth Swans at No1 Oval in the Preliminary Final with Coach Dallas Baldwin hoping for a strong performance from his team.

The winner will score a grand final berth and a meeting against the Gunnedah Poochettes in next week’s Grand Final at Varley Oval.

The Saints Men’s team have the week off after winning the minor premiership and will be meeting either the Tamworth Swans or Gunnedah Bulldogs in the  Grand Final.

Meantime the Saints u14s head to Tamworth on Sunday to tackle the combined Tamworth/Gunnedah Roosters outfit in the Grand Final.
