The Inverell Saints men’s and women’s teams head to Gunnedah again for crucial matches against the Bulldogs this weekend in AFL Northwest action.
Saints men’s Coach Matt Harrison says they’ll be resting a few players for tomorrow’s clash to help them get over niggling injuries but stresses they won’t be taking the Bulldogs lightly adding they’ll be a different side they met 3 weeks ago when the Saints belted the Dogs to the tune of 163 points
The Men will be seeking to continue their winning ways to remain on top of the ladder while the Women need a win to boost their confidence and keep in touch with the Poochettes on the AFL Northwest Women’s ladder.
Saints Women’s Coach Dallas Baldwin says he would love to score a win against their arch-rival before the finals and admits it’s always a close, torrid affair against the Poochettes made slightly more difficult with 5 players to miss the clash.
In the Other Round 8 game, the Tamworth Kangaroos face their cross town rival the Swans at No 1 Oval.
