The Inverell Saints have a big day planned, both on and off field, tomorrow as the Club celebrates its 20th anniversary celebrations
Firstly, they must contend with the Gunnedah Bulldogs in both the men’s and women’s competitions in what’s expected to be physical encounters.
A win for the Saints women against the Poochettes will almost certainly secure the minor premiership and a home ground major semi-final in September while the men will be out to brush off the cobwebs after last week’s bye and keep their minor premiership aspirations alive with a win.
Saints President Declan Ridley says they’re hoping for two big wins which will then flow into the 20 year celebrations at the RSM Club tomorrow night.
He says the Club will welcome back many former players and committee members at the celebrations which will involve the auction of commemoration jerseys as well as revealing the Best Team for the past 20 years.
The other AFL northwest round 11 game sees the Tamworth Kangaroos host the New England Nomads at No1 Oval.
