Inverell Saints players have figured well following the AFL Northwest Tony Gillies Best & Fairest Awards online count last night.
In the Men’s, Nash Tome was the best Saints player, polling 7 votes to finish equal 3rd from eventual winner Matt Hall from the Tamworth Kangaroos on 10 votes.
Saints’ women Sarah Drew and Clare McCosker finished equal 5th in the Women’s count with Swans playmaker Anna George claiming the League’s Best & Fairest.
In good news for the Saints, forward Katrina Doak was awarded the league’s top goal scorer for the season, booting 34 goals, 11 clear from teammate and captain Clare McCosker.
