After a stop-start beginning to their season, the Inverell Saints head to Tamworth to tackle the Kangaroos at No 1 Oval tomorrow in Round 3 of the AFL Northwest competition.
The Saints began the year with an encouraging 6-point win over the Tamworth Swans in Round 1 and have had to sit out the last two weeks due to a bye and then Anzac Day.
Saints Coach Hayden Chappel says it’s not an ideal start to the season but believes his team can build momentum into the season.
Meantime Saints Women’s team are also fresh from a few weeks off and will be looking to continue their dominance of the Kangaroos.
Coach Chris Pay says the girls have been training well and looking forward to getting back on the pitch.
The other game sees the Gunnedah Bulldogs face the Tamworth Swans at Wolseley Oval.
