Saints Finally Get Back on the Paddock

by | Aug 15, 2025 | Sport | 0 comments

After an enforced break due to snow and a forfeit from the New England Nomads, the Inverell Saints are set to host the Tamworth Kangaroos at Varley Oval in Round 14 action in the AFL Northwest competition in their annual Ladies day.

Saints Men’s and women’s teams need to continue to win if they have a chance of claiming this year’s minor premierships and hosting rights for this year’s senior grade grand finals.

Saints men’s Coach Matt Harrison says games against the Kangaroos are always physical and will be expecting nothing less while Saint’s Women’s coach Georgia Chappell says the recent enforced breaks isn’t the best preparation going into finals and will be hoping her team can build some momentum with three rounds left.

In the other round 14 game, the New England Nomads are at home to the Tamworth Swans at Bellevue Oval

Meantime, the final juniors gala day will be held in Tamworth on Sunday with the combined Inverell Saints/ Glen Innes Celts U14s unit looking to win their games and secure a home ground grand final on August 31st.
