The Inverell Saints have dismantled the Tamworth Kangaroos to the tune of 87 points at Varley Oval in Round 5 action in the AFL Northwest competition.

Angus Croft led the way for the Saints with 8 goals with Paul Stevenson and captain Ryan Lewis chiming in with 4 majors each in the Saints scoreline of 17.6.108 to the Kangaroos 3.3.21.

Coach Matt Harrison says the scoreline didn’t reflect the tough match it was.

The Saints women continued their unbeaten start to the season with an emphatic 86-point win over the Kangaroos.

1st year player Lizzie King was judged best afield while Katrina Doak and Kayla Sims were dangerous up forward with 4 and 3 goals respectively in the scoreline of 13.10.88 to 0.2.2.

In other results from the weekend, the Tamworth Swans made light work of the Gunnedah Bulldogs, scoring a 17.18.120 to 11.9.75 victory while the Poochettes dominated the Swanettes winning 14.10.94 to 1.2.8
