The Inverell Saints head to Tamworth tomorrow for the final round of the AFL Northwest competition to tackle the Swans at No1 Oval with the minor premiership up for grabs in both the Men’s and Women’s competition.
The winner of the Men’s game will claim the minor premiership while the Saints women just need to win to claim the minor premiership which will also give them hosting rights of next week’s AFL Northwest major semis.
Women’s Coach Georgia Chappell says her side has trained well this week and will be out to gain momentum leading into finals.
In the other game, Gunnedah Bulldogs are home to the Tamworth Kangaroos.
Meantime, the combined Inverell Saints/Glen Innes Celts u12s and u14s teams will feature in AFL Northwest Junior Grand finals against the combined Tamworth/Gunnedah sides on Sunday at Cameron Park.
