AUSTRALIAN Comedy icon Peter Rowsthorn entertained a crowd of close to 100 in Delungra over the weekend, with audience members travelling from Armidale, Bingara, Inverell and Moree.

The event, to mark Mental Health Month, was hosted by local community group Muster Up Delungra with Northern Tablelands MP Brendan Moylan, being the M.C for the event.

Mr Moylan says with Rowthorn’s hilarious comedy set alongside the food and beverages supplied by Smo-King of Inverell and Topper’s Mountain Wines of Tingha, it was impossible not to have a good night

Rowsthorn’s career has spanned stints on The Comedy Company, Hey Hey It’s Saturday and the now international hit, Kath & Kim.

His anecdotes of behind the scenes filming with the likes Shane Warne and Kylie Minogue as well as tales from I’m a Celebrity: Get me out of Here! had the audience in stitches.
