A former local highway patrolman with the NSW Police has officially retired from service.
Heath Roberts called it a day yesterday, stating it was a day of mixed emotions, finishing his almost 24 years of service with NSW Police.
Mr Roberts says it’s been the best time of his life but mentally and emotionally draining adding he’s always tried to treat people the way he wanted to be treated.
He says he’s made a lot of good friends over the years in the communities he’s policed and will always have his blue family to fall back on and thanked everyone for the support and great times.
Heath says he’s now looking forward to the next chapter in his life.
