by | Mar 10, 2025 | Weather | 0 comments

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for heavy rain for parts of the Northern Tablelands and Northwest Slopes and Plains which is expected to ease this afternoon.

It follows ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred making landfall on Saturday and weakening into a trough with heavy rainfall forecast which may lead to FLASH FLOODING in the region

A Flood Watch and Flood Warnings are current for New South Wales.

Six-hourly rainfall totals of between 50 and 80 mm are possible with 24-hourly rainfall totals between 100 and 150 mm also possible, particularly about the Border Ranges and elevated terrain close to the Queensland border.
