NSW Rural Fire Service are intending to conduct a Hazard Reduction Burn along Elcombe Road in the Bangheet area near Bingara tomorrow morning
This Hazard reduction is just one way of preparing for bush fires and will be dependent on suitable weather conditions.
Residents in the immediate area are asked keep doors and windows closed to prevent smoke entering homes, keep outdoor furniture under cover to prevent ember burns, retract pool covers to prevent ember damage, remove washing from clotheslines and ensure pets have a protected area.
People with asthma or a lung condition, ares advised to reduce their outdoor activities if smoke levels are high and if shortness of breath or coughing develops, take their reliever medicine or seek medical advice
