Recall on SuperCheap Auto Coin Batteries

by | Nov 11, 2024 | Business, Media Release | 0 comments

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission have recently issued a recall on SuperCheap Auto branded coin batteries.

The 10 pack of lithium button/coin batteries with a CR2032 size have been recalled as the product does not comply with the mandatory standards for button/coin batteries due to the packaging not being resistant to being opened by young children and does not release only a single battery at a time.

There is a risk of choking, severe internal burn injuries or death to young children if they gain access to the button/coin batteries, which can occur within 2 hrs of swallowing or placing them into their bodies.

Consumers should keep the batteries out of reach of children and return them to their nearest Supercheap Auto store for a full refund.

More information can be made by calling Supercheap Auto on 1300 175 010.
