The replacement pump for the Warialda pool is on its way to Warialda with hopes the pool will be operational next month
Gwydir Shire Council advise the pump will then be fitted next week after being shipped out of Melbourne last week
It follows the previous pump failing earlier this month and council resolving it could not be repaired and had to be replaced.
Work to replace the pump, which weighs approximately 500kg and requiring a crane to place the pump, will involve removing part of the roof of the pump shed, with works to be undertaken by a contractor.
A date for the opening of the Warialda pool will be announced shortly after the pump has been installed.
