Polling Day in the New England

New England residents will go to the polls tomorrow to choose from seven candidates they wish to elect as their next federal member of parliament.

National’s incumbent member Barnaby Joyce remains favourite to be re-elected from Labor’s Laura Hughes, Greens Wendy Wales, One Nation’s Brent Larkham, Holly Masters from the Family First Party, Trumpet of Patriots Todd Juchau and Independent Natasha Ledger.

Polling booths in the district will open tomorrow between 8am to 6pm at Inverell, Ross Hill, Delungra Tingha & Ashford Public Schools, Masonic Hall, Gilgai Hall, Bundarra school of the Arts.

Pre polling is still available today in Inverell at the Masonic Hall between 8:30am and 6pm

The AEC is again calling on all campaigners to behave respectfully towards voters, one another and AEC staff.
