Inspector with Inverell Police Blake Keating is encouraging the community to consider a career in the force.

With the Inverell station short 5 officers, Inspector Keating hopes local residents may fill those rolls if they decide to join the police force.

Inspector Keating says officers from other stations in the sector have filled shifts at Inverell and is anticipating further recruits to come in from the Goulbourn Police academy.

He’s encouraging anyone within the community to come forward and consider being a police officer in Inverell, adding the role has its benefits.
