About 9:30pm last Monday, police attended Arrawatta Road in Inverell, after receiving reports of a camper van on fire.

On arrival, Police observed a camper van located in a relatively isolated location, well alight with the vehicle subsequently destroyed by fire.

The vehicle was later reported stolen by the owners from a Chester Street address.

About 1am on Tuesday, a resident of an Old Bundarra Rd residence was awoken by unknown persons attempting to break into his vehicle.

The vehicle was locked therefore nothing was stolen from the vehicle

Meantime, police are also investigating a Break and enter at the Elsmore Soldiers Memorial Hall which occurred sometime between 10am last Thursday and 10:15 on Saturday.

Unknown offenders forced entry via a door and a bottle of weed killer was stolen.
