Police Kept Busy

In further police news, between 11:30 Saturday night and 7:30 Sunday morning a break and enter was committed at a residence in Museum Street, Tingha.

The offender/s stole the occupants motor vehicle, a white 2020 Kia station wagon with police asking for the public’s assistance to contact Crime stoppers if they have any information relating to the incident.

Meantime, police stopped a 29-year-old man driving his motor vehicle on Brae Street, Inverell on Sunday morning the 28 September 2025 and subjected the driver to a breath test which returned a positive reading.

The driver was arrested and subjected to a secondary test at Inverell Police Station which returned a reading in the high range.

The man’s drivers’ licence was immediately suspended by police, and he was issued a court attendance notice to appear at Inverell Local Court later this month.
