The New England Police District awards are being held this morning at the Inverell Town Hall.
Northern Tablelands MP Brendan Moylan says the awards recognizes and thanks officers from the district for their service in keeping the community safe.
Long serving officers from the district will be recognized at today’s function for their commitment and dedication to the Force and their community.
Mr Moylan says the awards gives the community an opportunity to say thanks.
