A talented local performer has starred at the Ultimate Mic event held in Sydney last month.
Peyton Childs came 1st in the preteen competitor and Open Original sections, 2nd in the preteen Battle round and placed 3rd in the teen and opens battle round.
He was also awarded most talented young artist at the event and selected for the Unleashed Ultimate Mic paid show, which will be held in May next year.
Peyton will have to travel to Sydney four times for rehearsals prior to the event.
He was also given a few other special VIP prizes for recording his original works and will also compete at January’s Maccas Golden Gig at the Tamworth County Music Festival along with busking in Peel Street.
