Fresh from his Country Championships exploits, the Todd Payne trained Lisztomania will be hoping to go one better in today’s $200,000 Tamworth Cup.

Payne says if he were to win the Tamworth Cup, Lisztomania would be eligible for the Big Dance adding he has one goal on the radar for his Country Championships runner-up and that’s the $2 million The Kosciuszko over 1200 metres on TAB Everest Day in October at Randwick.

He says targeting both the Kosciusko and the Big Dance would be hard adding if he were to run Lisztomania on Big Dance day at Randwick it’ll be in the country only Barn Dance over the 1300m.

Jockey Luke Rolls, who is back on Lisztomania today after Tim Clark rode him in the Final, says the Tamworth track will play well into Lisztomania’s favour as he likes to get to the middle of the track and run down the leaders.
