Final preparations are underway for this year’s Happy Days Orange Festival which will be held this weekend in Bingara to celebrate the good times of yesteryear.
The festival kicks off on Friday with the annual orange picking ceremony which involves students from Bingara Central School – a tradition that began in the 1960’s which teaches students the values of respect, self-discipline and pride in Bingara’s unique memorial to remember Bingara’s fallen in two World Wars.
Saturday’s festival includes entertainment from the Memphis Moovers and Swing Katz, a vintage car display, amusement rides and attractions, food trucks, market stalls and tours of the Roxy theatre.
There’ll also be a line dancing and rock n’ roll workshop between 9 and 11am with a social being held at the Roxy between 2 and 6pm.
The Happy Days Orange Festival will be held on Saturday 6th July
