Orange Festival Goes Off in Bingara

by | Jul 8, 2024 | Arts & Culture, Community | 0 comments

Hundreds of visitors from as far as Newcastle and Tamworth flocked to Bingara on Saturday for the annual Happy Days Orange Festival.

Perfect weather conditions greeted visitors and stall holders in Maitland Street as they were entertained by the Memphis Moovers and The Sydney Swing Katz during the day.

The Festival Parade also was well patronised with emergency service vehicles, a variety of vehicles from Motor Clubs from the region along with local organisations floats taking part in the event.

Gwydir Shire Mayor John Coulton along with Willoughby Shire Mayor Tanya Taylor awarded Certificates of Appreciation to visiting students from Willoughby Shire as part their sister city exchange student program.

Carmen Southwell from Gwydir Shire Council says it was one of the biggest festivals held in Bingara with lots of freshly squeezed orange juice consumed during the day
