Five spectacular gardens will be open to the public on Saturday as the Down to Earth Inverell Garden Club prepare for yet another open garden extravaganza, as they raise funds for the Westpac Rescue helicopter Service.
Five homes including Min and Howard Finlen’s garden at 7 Brae St, Scott Osborne’s Oban at 27 Brae St, Foxholm owned by Leon Fox at 3 Chisholm St, Sally and James Roger’s Garden at 3 Davey St and Rose Brae at 51 Brae St owned by Juanita and Ray Eddy will be between 10 and 4pm this Saturday.
Susan Dolby from the Down to Earth Inverell Garden Club says each garden is in close proximity making it easy to bet around to all 5 gardens.
She says the recent weather has ensured all the gardens are in tip-top shape with certain plants in coming back to life in some gardens that have not been seen for years.
It’s $5 per adult per garden or $20 for a multi ticket entry to all gardens with live entertainment being provided at certain garden as well as food and refreshments.
