NSW nurses and midwives have agreed to a four-week pause in industrial action, and a 3% interim pay rise backdated to July 1, while negotiations with the government over pay and conditions are ongoing.
Health Minister Ryan Park confirmed that both the government and the Nurses and Midwives association had accepted the recommendation of the Industrial Relations Commission.
Nurses and midwives have walked off the job twice last month as they fight for better pay and conditions.
In a statement, Minister Park says the government looks forward to these discussions and ongoing negotiations with the Association
