Nominations are now open for the NSW Women of the Year Awards.
Member for Northern Tablelands Brendan Moylan says we have some remarkable women right across the Northern Tablelands who make extraordinary contributions to the lives of people around them without seeking recognition.
There are six categories which celebrate the work women do to improve the lives of people across their communities, including:
- NSW Premier’s Woman of Excellence – a role model who has excelled in her chosen field.
- NSW Aboriginal Woman of the Year – Open to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.
- NSW Community Hero – which shines a light on the accomplishments of an extraordinary woman who works tirelessly to contribute to the prosperity of those in her local community.
- NSW Regional Woman of the Year – recognises the accomplishments of an exceptional woman living in regional NSW.
- NSW Young Woman of the Year – Open to women aged 16-30 years.
- The Ones to Watch – Recognises girls and young women aged 7 to 15.
