The countdown is on for NAIDOC Week 2026 celebrations in Inverell and Tingha with the community being urged to nominate someone for a NAIDOC Week Awards.
There are 10 award categories with the main awards being the Aunty May Yarrowick Award, male and female Youth of the Year and the Elder of the Year.
Nomination forms are to be submitted via email to inverellnaidoc@gmail.com or delivered to Armajun Aboriginal Health Service in Rivers St and close at 4pm this Friday.
Nominees will be notified of their nomination, and winners will be announced at the NAIDOC Awards ceremony to be held in Inverell on Friday 10th of July.
