Earthworks at the Warialda Truckwash has commenced with hopes the town will have a new water storage dam.
These works, which commenced yesterday, will include the construction of a new storage dam that will hold water from the recently drilled bore, whilst pump testing of the bore is undertaken over a 72-hour period.
Once testing is complete, the dam will become an additional long term water storage asset for the Truckwash facility, helping to support its ongoing operation and reliability.
Gwydir Shire Council appreciates the community’s patience while this work is undertaken and apologises for any temporary inconvenience.
