Inverell Shire Council are expected to appoint the new Equestrian Centre Management Committee at tomorrow’s monthly Council Meeting.
Expressions of Interest were invited last month from any person interested in promoting equestrian sports and managing the Equestrian Centre to serve as a Community Representative on the committee.
Council received 6 applications for the six positions with recommendations to accept the nominations for the new committee.
Former Inverell Shire councillor Di Baker, Carol Turner, Kate Tighe, Russell Hamel, Greg Vagg and Daniel Tickle all applied for a position on the Equestrian Centre Management Committee with Council saying all applicants have skills that will benefit the management of the Inverell Equestrian Centre.
The term of the appointment is four (4) years until October 2028
