Northern Tablelands MP Brendan Moylan believes the New England Renewable Zone or REZ has been rushed.
Mr Moylan says if the REZ had been delivered and planned properly, the community would have come on board with the proposal and welcomed it to the region.
He says what we see now is great uncertainty amongst landholders with some wanting renewable projects on their property whilst some neighbours are quite upset by the impacts of these projects without receiving appropriate compensation.
The Local MP says landholders have the right to have what they want on their property but believes the whole community must be looked after adding aspects of the REZ need to be further examined including the decommissioning of projects on landholders properties.
