Armidale Regional Council has now put on public exhibition a request to officially name the recreation area on Bradley Street, Guyra, the ‘Guyra Memorial Park’.
Council has received a letter from the Combined Guyra Clubs and Organizations to request the new name, which is required to go on public exhibition for 28 days from today.
Mayor Sam Coupland says by naming this park, they can celebrate their community’s identity, commemorate those who fought and died for our country, and also create a welcoming space that Guyra residents can enjoy,
The new name request for Guyra Park is now on public exhibition.
