Monthly meetings between Northern Tablelands MP Brendan Moylan, Hunter New England Health District senior executives and Mayors across the region are hoped to improve communications between all parties to address health issues and outcomes.
Speaking on STA FM yesterday, Mr Moylan says these meetings can create a culture of transparency and accountability to address community concerns as well as providing an opportunity for the Health District to make the community aware of the steps that are being taken to recruit more staff.

Mr Moylan says he has seven vibrant and growing local government areas in his electorate, and it has become clear to him that as a community we have not had satisfactory accountability or communication with Hunter New England Health District, and he wants this to change.
He says it’s not a silver bullet to fix the current problems but it’s a good place to start.
