Member for Northern Tablelands Brendan Moylan wasted no time getting into his new role by putting forward a Notice of Motion during the sitting of State Parliament last week.
While taking to the floor of the Chamber on Friday, the MP moved a General Business Notice of Motion to increase pay rates for Nurses.
It comes after increased pressure from Nurses in the region that QLD Nurses were being paid more, with Mr Moylan having discussions with Executives of the Armidale Branch of the NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association earlier this month, saying Nurses are the backbone of our health system and without them, hospitals would grind to a complete halt.
