Northern Tablelands MP Brendan Moylan has slammed a pro life supporter for a social media post which claims the local MP voted last year with the Greens on a radical abortion bill.
Speaking On STA FM yesterday, Mr Moylan says the first part of the post from Dr Joanna Howe is blatantly wrong explaining in circumstances where a woman, in the first 8 weeks of pregnancy, wished to access lawful services and couldn’t find a GP, then an appropriately qualified nurse practitioner would be able to assist with the abortion adding nothing was changed in terms of abortion law last year.
The second part of the post questioned whether Mr Moylan would vote against the upcoming Private Members Bill to make it unlawful to have an abortion based on sex selection.
Mr Moylan was quite clear on what he would do on the pending vote if it reached the Legislative Assembly saying he would support the Bill
