Northern Tablelands MP Brendan Moylan will put a private members statement in State parliament on Tuesday, highlighting the plight of healthcare in the region.
Speaking on STA FM Tuesday morning, Mr Moylan says his statement will include healthcare issues, access to healthcare in the region and will also call on the Federal government to step up and play their part.
Mr Moylan says State government runs and staffs the hospitals while the G.Ps are the federal government’s responsibility and called for Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to recognise the crisis facing in regional NSW in terms to getting access to healthcare.
He says too much money is being spent on infrastructure, locums and agency nurses and not actually tackling the issue of recruiting health staff to the regions.
