Member for Northern Tablelands Brendan Moylan has unveiled a new electorate office in Inverell to provide a central place for the community to raise state government matters.
From 11 February, the office will be open on Tuesdays and Fridays at the Inverell Shire Council building at 114 Otho Street.
“NSW Parliament allows larger electorates, like ours, to have part-time satellite offices as long as they are in existing government buildings,” Mr Moylan said.
“It is great to be able to open an office in Inverell for two days per week.
“Inverell is the centre point of the Northern Tablelands so it will benefit people within the community who cannot get to Armidale or Moree.”
Although the Inverell satellite electorate office will only be staffed on Tuesdays and Fridays, a correspondence box will be available for drop-offs during business hours (8.30am until 4.30pm) on all other days.
The electorate office can help with public health and public hospitals, education, land and water management, police, transport, public housing, main roads, public works, emergency services, national parks, community services, NSW industrial relations, fair trading, primary industries, and family and communities.
