Organisers of the annual Motormania event at Inverell’s Pioneer Village on Sunday have been overwhelmed by the response from the community.
Dwayne O’Brien from Sapphire City Motorsports Club says around 230 cars and bikes were on display from around the region, including a vehicle from Brisbane but unfortunately some exhibitors couldn’t make it due to mechanical issues with their vehicles on the day.
Thousands of people from across the region including Tamworth, Moree and Armidale came for the annual event with Mr O’Brien expressing how luck the Club is to have such support for the event.
Mr O’Brien says the main beneficiaries from the day will be the Pioneer Village and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, with seven other local organisations to also receive funds when the Club disperses its funds next month.
He says it was one of the biggest motor show events he’s attended in NSW, praising the Pioneer Village committee for their works on the grounds.
